Chris Tomlin sings his country Song at Thirsty
Here’s a great video link that our friends Stephen and Stephanie Brown posted. It’s Chris Tomlin singing a “country” song that he wrote when he was young. It’s seriously one of the funniest songs I’ve ever heard. Go HERE to see it! I’ll embed it when I get the code.
Thirsty Conference Mind Dump
Here’s a bit of what I’ve been thinking about the Thirsty Conference. Thanks to all you for your comments. Please feel free to leave more comments or ask any questions you’d like!
* I’m re:fueld
* Chris Tomlin and Charlie Hall are two of the funniest people ever…ask them to play their “country songs”
* I’ve got to think more about the vision for Fusion
* I love the Mighty to Save song from Hillsong sung by Chris Tomlin…we’ll be singing this in Fusion soon I hope
* The story about the girl named Ashley that Louie Giglio told made me remember that sharing the gospel often, well, and simple is really a life and death situation…every day.
* God is more mighty than our “movement, organization, or ministry.” It’s not about our name…it’s about JESUS
* When we think humble, do we want to be humble to be considered better than everyone else because we’re humble?
* The Passion movement has helped change the world and the evidence will soon be coming like a flood
* Starbucks is my new friend
* Hearing God’s voice is priceless
* How much money and time do we put toward seeing people come to Christ? 50% of the budget at Simi Valley Community Church (Francis Chan) goes to that cause. So much that they meet outside in an ampitheater vs having a building. Amazing.
* Vision
* I’m looking forward to the ripple of effect
* If you went to Thirsty, leave a comment
Some Thirsty 07 Videos
So here’s two videos from the Thristy 07 conference you might dig….one is kinda blurry, but Charile Hall challenged Francis Chan into a breakdancing contest….the other…Charlie Hall challenges Chris Tomlin to an arm wrestle. It’s easy to say that Charlie Hall loves a challenge!
