I have a jam packed week this week. Everything is leading up to the secone Preview Experience at The Ridge Community Church coming up THIS Sunday, April 5th. Our first preview was a great time and HUGE success, so I expect God to do even bigger things this week!
To say it’s different would be an understatement. I promise no one in Oak Ridge played anything by the Foo Fighters in the last 5 YEARS at their worship gathering. We did. And we’ll keep doing things just like that if it helps reach people for Jesus. Remember, we’re not trying to reach the “churched” and the “church hoppers.” We’re after the de-churched, the non-religious, church rejects, turned off by the church, non-believers that live in and around Anderson, Roane, and parts of Knox Counties. And if it ever seems like we are veering away from that approach, someone slap me. In order to reach the ones no one is reaching, you have to do the things no one else is doing. The Ridge isn’t about just starting another church….I wouldn’t waste my time with that. There are plenty of other good churches in the area where we could go.
I want to see life change
I want to see God so BIG that you can’t deny it’s GOD
I want to see a BODY of believers that worship at full volume
I want to see people come to “church” that would normally never come to church
I want to see marriages explode with a God-difference
I want to see families get back to making family a priority
I want to see a city that is no longer considered “hard soil”
I want to see people realize their “God Potential”
I want to see people pray audacious, sun stand still prayers
I want to see a church that is more concerned about the the BIG C Church than keeping “members”
I want Jesus to be made famous in a city that He’s NOT been famous in before
