Behind The Ridge: Preview #1 Recap
Preview service #1 is in the bag! Whew….to say I am beat would be the understatement of the year. It was one long day, but a very, very good day. God really made things come together and really showed off as well. I love it when God chooses to work through us even though we are all sinners! It’s an amazing feat!
- We got lucky and set up the staging, lights, and instruments on Saturday night. We won’t have that luxury every week
- Church planters need to be sure to plant close to a Wal-Mart and Home Depot. They saved our rears
- I seriously thought we were going to blow a breaker. We should be called the Wired church
- Everything set up perfectly!
- Natalie (our Childrens Director) did an awesome job creating a childrens facility out of an empty room
- Invest in black Duct Tape. Trust me
- To say it was loud would not be doing the band justice
- Yes, we gave out ear plugs….but I think only one or two people used them
- The only person that thought it was too loud was the hotel manger. Oops..we’ll make it up to them
- The band played with passion and nailed The Pretender by the Foo Fighters
- Our numbers for the first, barely advertised preview were austouding. We had 25 new guests
- The room was 90% filled. The next preview April 5th will tell us if we need to expand
- I seriously couldn’t sleep the night before because I thought we would have 0 new families. Church planters are notorious pesimest when it comes to first service
- Next step….110% full…what a great problem to have!
- I literally about peed on myself when I saw all the people
- Talked about God working through our inadequacies. Think God struck a never with a few people
- Excited see what happens in two weeks when we talk about not being able to hear from God
- We seriously need an enclosed trailer or a box truck. Load in and load out will kill our team
- Two weeks…Preview #2 @ The Ridge!
