Behind The Ridge: Preview #1 Recap

Preview service #1 is in the bag!  Whew….to say I am beat would be the understatement of the year.  It was one long day, but a very, very good day.  God really made things come together and really showed off as well.  I love it when God chooses to work through us even though we are all sinners!  It’s an amazing feat! 

• We got lucky and set up the staging, lights, and instruments on Saturday night.  We won’t have that luxury every week
• Church planters need to be sure to plant close to a Wal-Mart and Home Depot.  They saved our rears
• I seriously thought we were going to blow a breaker.  We should be called the Wired church
• Everything set up perfectly!
• Natalie (our Childrens Director) did an awesome job creating a childrens facility out of an empty room
• Invest in black Duct Tape.  Trust me
• To say it was loud would not be doing the band justice
• Yes, we gave out ear plugs….but I think only one or two people used them
• The only person that thought it was too loud was the hotel manger.  Oops..we’ll make it up to them
• The band played with passion and nailed The Pretender by the Foo Fighters
• Our numbers for the first, barely advertised preview were austouding.  We had 25 new guests
• The room was 90% filled.  The next preview April 5th will tell us if we need to expand
• I seriously couldn’t sleep the night before because I thought we would have 0 new families.  Church planters are notorious pesimest when it comes to first service
• Next step….110% full…what a great problem to have!
• I literally about peed on myself when I saw all the people 
• Talked about God working through our inadequacies.  Think God struck a never with a few people
• Excited see what happens in two weeks when we talk about not being able to hear from God
• We seriously need an enclosed trailer or a box truck.  Load in and load out will kill our team
