Weekend Confessions

Another weekend in the books and of course, it wasn’t long enough! Seems that is a reoccurring theme as of late. But, it was a good weekend, so here’s the box score…

  • Friday was grill night. Took out a few steaks, cleaned off the grill and let the flames do the talking! Great meal!
  • Later Friday we went out to see The Strangers. Not a bad movie. I think it had by far the creepiest music ever. If you wanna know, that creepy song playing on the record player is called The Bean and the Sprout and yes, it is on iTunes
  • Saturday we headed out of town for a trip to Big South Fork National Park. I’ve been to the Blue Heron area before but never actually to the park. Denira and I took off and drove around scouting out some possible camping excursions. The river was running, the sun was out, and it was a great trip with my wife
  • The grilling bug struck again Saturday night, but right as I was about to flip my bbq’ed chicken, the grill ran out of gas! Seriously…it stunk. But I finished up in the oven and it was superb…
  • Sunday, Denira and I took one more day to just hang out, taking in some O’Charley’s, a trip to Target, and a viewing of What Happens in Vegas
  • College football season is getting closer…and I can’t wait! Best time of year…and of course NCAA Football 09 for the 360 will be out soon…
  • My wife thinks I’m insane for my Twitter addiction…it makes me look important…but I’m really not
  • More people need to twitter so more people will actually read what I post to twitter!

I’m really pumped about this week’s posts. After hearing a great sermon from pastor Furtick on honor, I’m going to put together a series of OPEN LETTERS to other people that have influenced me, spoke into my life, and have helped me along thus far. I’m really excited about honoring these people for speaking into my life!
